D4 strange effects after touching a weird animal Giant polypus from one Ukrainian/Russian OSR module. I think it can be "a weird animal". 1. Skin color start "blinking" and stops on  normal for humans  (70%),  strange  (29%),  original skin color  (1%) 2. Blindness and  True Seeing  with 3rd (new) eye (for a week) 3. Insomnia and  Darkvision  (every synodic month) 4. Save or Die ( Magic ) and restore spell slots

My Helmets / Critacal hits homerule for osr campaign

I was inspired by AD&D 1e and Empire of the Petal Throne. When you get Nat20 on to-hit roll against humanoid without a helmet (or against a monster that poorly protected*) you damage roll multiple by 2. * - as an example: Giant Crab with solid chitin counts as well protected. Giant Spider with soft chitin counts as poorly protected. This is about the " Achilles' heel " thing.
